Homes Near Shenandoah

Shenandoah is located in the southeastern part of East Baton Rouge parish – south of I-12 and east of Airline Highway. While many residents may not realize that the population is large enough to be considered a census designated place (CDP), when you consider the size and number of residential neighborhoods in the area it’s not too surprising. While the area has long been known for it’s trademark neighborhood, Shenandoah Estates, other neighborhoods have grown all around. Just take a look at some of the housing options available!

Although there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, neighborhoods in the Shenandoah area have a little more of a suburban feel compared with homes closer to downtown and LSU. Recent major road improvements, like the Central Thruway and widening of South Harrell’s Ferry Road, have made the area more accessible and have relieved traffic congestion. And, during the past five years there’s been a significant amount of new home construction in neighborhoods like Audubon Square, Green Trails at Shenandoah, and Shadowbrook Lakes. With the opening of the new Woman’s Hospital just minutes away, there is bound to be more.

Enjoy the video.  These are two homes I recently listed and sold in the area.  Each went under contract in less than 30 days.
